• Description: Mandated program for response, assessment and/or investigation of reports of child abuse, neglect, or exploitation as defined in Welfare and Institutions Code, Sections 300 (a) through (j) and Penal Code Section 11165 et seq. Social workers receive reports and conduct investigation of allegations of abuse, neglect or exploitation and take appropriate next steps to ensure the safety and well being of the child.

• Hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
• Eligibility: Children/youth (under 18) who are victims of abuse, neglect or exploitation by a parent, guardian or adult caretaker or children/youth (under 18) who are not being protected from abuse, neglect, or exploitation by their parent, guardian or adult caretaker. Anyone who suspects a child may be subject to abuse, neglect or exploitation may make a report.
